IGNORANCE OF LAW IS NOT AN EXCUSE | ILLEGAL PARTIES IN AUROVILLE
All parties in Auroville are illegal and incorrigible. Even cultural events need licences. Till licenses are not obtained they are illegal rave parties. There is no Autonomy for illegal parties as well. Auroville is in India and governed by Indian laws for order and security of citizens and Aurovilians as well. While all Indian citizens organizing any event or concert need to obtain licenses public are not aware that these rules are not followed by Auroville - and clandestine and well knowing this The Working Committee and Auroville Foundation office encourages the parties so that 70% of the population are busy in organizing parties and drugs and no one empowers the resident assembly. After one obtains all licenses the closing time is 10 pm and 1:30 am on new years eve. Even IIT a statutory body under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of HRD takes all licenses for its annual events with the biggest rock shows and greatest bands. We love music but it has to be regulated and no one is against entertainment. But entertainment comes after work is done for Auroville and not polishing a coconut and calling it as Art. Even Art hampers with distractions like this. Discipline is missing as people have taken their residency very easy and like a never ending party life in the name of The Mother. Hence names like Divine Anarchy and Incorrigible festivals are organised which has nothing to do or concerned with Auroville and it's future.
Organised events with licenses, security, police protection is what is the law and it needs to close at 10 pm. The Auroville Foundation office seems to be unaware of law of India and keeps "going with the flow"www.theaurovillefiles.com
Entertainment Tax NOC - Regulates money collected at the gate and ensures money goes to the community not to the venue. Tax exemption or not, Entertainment Tax NOC needs to be taken.
PPL & IPRS - Licensing copyright Infringements
Loudspeaker License - to ensure that the music doesn't go above 62 db in a residential community and hence neighbors are not disturbed
Police License - Yes, police license needs to be obtained for every party to ensure that women and people are safe coming to and fro from such parties which attracts outside anti social elements.
LICENSES AND LAW REGULATES FOR SAFETY, PROGRESS AND WELL BEING OF THE ENTIRE SOCIETY - THERE IS NO AUTONOMY AND NO SELF GOVERNANCE FOR AUROVILLE - LAW IS THERE AND SHOULD BE ENFORCED STRICTLY.
Pandora's Box which the complainant organised in Puducherry was actually to happen in Auroville but the Power Groups were against empowerment of local artisans hence rumors of birds being disturbed with music was floated. It was to host the biggest bands of the country like Indian Ocean. It was regulated and had all licenses to conduct, but for the residents the venue was shifted to Puducherry and disturbed the entire purpose of the project. It was never a psychedelic rave party as cited by Power Corridor. The Organizer comes with expertise of organizing biggest shows of the Country like Lakme Fashion Week, Kalaghoda Arts Festival, Roger Waters Concert and much more and has 15 years of experience across the country and the world. His experience and company had organised concerts and art festivals with celebrities like Ankit Tiwari, Arijit Singh, Shibani Kashyap, Indian Ocean, John Digweed, Sonu Nigam, Mika, Tiesto and has various corporate clients including the French Embassy itself. He was in security detailing also and even in Puducherry the event had no flaws and no one was harassed or no hooliganism happened. But by shifting the venue for the residents to Puducherry the organizer lost Rs.9 lkhs just to empower the local artisans. We have all proof of the same. the Power Corridor does not wish to threaten their monopoly and have such large scale concerts of Music, Art and Culture. News and Notes edition 182 wrote "Pandora’s Box festival
We would like to express our gratitude to Vikram Ram who agreed to move his Pandora’s Box New Year’s Eve festival from Alankuppam to Paradise Beach, south of Pondicherry. We were concerned about the original location, as these types of celebrations, especially on New Year's Eve, inevitably increase traffic and safety and security issues in the area including within Auroville. As any possible negative fall-out would be attributed to Auroville, even though this was not an Auroville event, we had advised our units and services not to participate."
Although all perfect Master plan of Security detailing was done but it was futile to explain to Power Corridor. We have all of these documents also to expose lies of the Power Corridor.
